Upholstery Cleaning FAQ - Rescue Pro Clean

Do I need to prepare my furniture before the upholstery cleaning service?
  • Remove any personal items, such as pillows, throws, or decorative objects, from the furniture.
  • Clear the area around the furniture to provide easy access for the technicians.
Should I spot clean my upholstery before the cleaning service?

No. It is generally recommended not to spot clean the upholstery before the professionals arrive. Spot cleaning with the wrong products or techniques can potentially set stains or cause further damage. Our technicians are trained to assess and treat different types of stains effectively, so it's best to leave the cleaning to them.

Can I leave my furniture in place during the cleaning process?

In most cases, our technicians can clean your upholstery without the need to move the furniture. However, if there are any items obstructing the cleaning process or if we need better access to certain areas, we may request your assistance in moving lightweight furniture.

Do I have to be home while you are cleaning?

No. As long as we have access to a hidden key or code, we just need to call and do a credit card payment over the phone prior starting the job. We can take before and after pictures for you and text them to you along with a professional receipt.

Should I inform the technicians about specific stains or problem areas?

Yes, it is helpful to inform our technicians about any specific stains or problem areas on your upholstery. This information allows them to give special attention to those areas and choose the appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques to address them effectively.

How long does the upholstery cleaning process take?

The time required for upholstery cleaning depends on factors such as the size and condition of the furniture, the type of upholstery, and the extent of cleaning needed. Generally, the process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Our team will provide you with a more accurate estimate based on the specifics of your upholstery.

How long does it take for the upholstery to dry after cleaning?

The drying time for upholstery can vary depending on factors such as humidity levels, ventilation, and the type of upholstery. Generally, it can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours for the upholstery to dry completely. We recommend allowing sufficient drying time before using the furniture again.

Are there any post-cleaning instructions I should follow?

Our technicians will provide you with specific post-cleaning instructions based on the type of upholstery and the cleaning process used. It's important to follow these instructions to ensure the best results and prevent any potential issues. This may include recommendations for drying, avoiding heavy use of the furniture during the drying period, and maintaining proper ventilation in the area.
